Residents Cheer As Owen Sound Police Take Down Methamphetamine Operation

On January 21, 2016 at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Owen Sound Police Service Drug Unit and members of the Criminal Investigation Branch raided a home in the 1300 block of 4th Avenue East.

The search warrant concluded another investigation of many recently that the drug unit has done into methamphetamine trafficking. Neighbouring residents cheered as they realized that the police were raiding the house. Police took three persons into custody upon entering the home.

Police located methamphetamine, cocaine, prescription narcotics as well as evidence of trafficking including cash proceeds, drug packaging and scales within the residence.

Michael WALLACE, 50 years of Owen Sound and Bradley SYLVEST, 27 years of Georgian Bluffs remain in police custody pending a bail hearing on January 22nd. They have been charged with:

Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking

Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

Possession of Oxycodone

WALLACE has been additionally charged with Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime and SYLVEST has been additionally charged with Possession of Marihuana.

Another male at the residence was arrested and later released to attend court on February 25th. He has been charged with Possession of cocaine and Possession of methamphetamine.
