(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On January 22, 2016, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on Highway 401 near Queens Line.
Just before 1:00 a.m., the officer observed a westbound Honda car that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr. The RADAR registered a speed of approximately 197 km/hr.
The 20-year-old male driver from London has been charged with Stunt Driving. The driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
