Charges Laid In Drug Deal Gone Bad

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – The City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a robbery that occurred in Fenelon Falls on Thursday January 21, 2016.

The victim was attempting to purchase illegal drugs from a person known to him, when he was assaulted and threatened. Charged are the following persons:

Anthony ORMESHER, 22 years of age, of Dunsford

Robbery contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Uttering Threats contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CCC

Disguise with Intent contrary to section 351(2) of the CCC

Kenneth CELLINI, 20 years of age, of Woodville

Robbery contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Uttering Threats contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CCC

The accused persons were arrested and appeared in bail court on Friday January 22, 2016. Both accused will next appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on February 11, 2016.
