Weapons Seized From Males At Go Station

(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 24, 2016 at approximately 7:20 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a call from the Go Transit Authority regarding two intoxicated males causing a disturbance at the Go Station located on Brock Road in Puslinch Township. Police were advised that the males were yelling at each other as well as the other passengers and the driver was concerned for the safety of the other riders and refused to drive any further with the males on the bus.

Police attended the Go Station and after speaking with the individuals briefly, officers placed one of the males under arrest for being intoxicated in a public place. Police searched the male and located a loaded 9mm handgun on him as well as a flick knife and baggies of marihuana. An unloaded rifle, scale, police bullet proof vest, butterfly knife and a partial bottle of alcohol were seized from his suitcase.

The second male was found to be wanted by another police service outside of the

Province on an outstanding warrant. During a search incident to arrest police seized cocaine and a flick knife.

Carry Concealed Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of a prohibited device contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of a prohibited device contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada Unauthorized possession of a firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of Stolen Property contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Have open liquor other than private residence contrary to the Liquor License Act

Being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor License Act

24-year-old Marcel HENRIQUEZ of Ottawa has been charged with:

Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of Weapon contrary to Prohibition Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Transfer Firearm without Authority contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Unauthorized possession of a firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of Stolen Property contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor License Act

Both males were held in custody for a Bail Hearing.
