(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On January 24, 2016 at approximately 1:47 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting laser speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Concession 4 in Puslinch Township. The officer observed a male driving a Honda Accord at a speed well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on laser at approximately 141 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
27-year-old Maneet NANAR of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 2, 2016 to answer to the charge.
