(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – This morning at 7:25 am the City of Kawartha Lakes Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a threat of a bomb at the Fenelon Falls Secondary School (FFSS).
The investigation is continuing however, it has been learned that the call to the school was an older message, but not discovered until this morning. Police were notified as soon as it was discovered.
Students and staff were evacuated, as a precaution, to the Fenelon Falls Community Centre (FFCC). Many of the buses were diverted to the FFCC prior to arriving at FFSS.
The OPP are now on scene at the school. OPP officers are currently checking the school.
