(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment is reminding the public to protect their property and valuables against would be thieves after a break and enter was reported at a Highway 3, Middleton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the early morning hours, unknowns attended SOS Towing and forcibly gained entry into a secured compound located on the property. Once inside, unknowns remove approximately 200 scrap batteries valued at approximately $2000 dollars.
The batteries taken were mainly from Ford vehicles and police are asking any recycling business to contact the Norfolk County OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122 if an unknown individual arrives at their business in an attempt to sell them.
Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
