(CARLETON PLACE, ON) – On January 30, 2016 at approximately 1:20PM, members of the Lanark County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 7, Carleton Place, ON.
A passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer collided head on when the passenger vehicle crossed the centre line.
The 49 year-old male driver of the passenger car, from Orleans, ON, died at scene. The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injury.
The investigation is continuing, no other information is available at this time. The name of the victim is not being released pending the ongoing investigation.
