(WALKERTON, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding vehicle owners to lock it or lose it following the report of an overnight vehicle entry in the town of Walkerton. The resident of Ridout Street reported some cash and music CD’s were taken.
The OPP Crime Prevention and Insurance Bureau of Canada Lock it or Lose it initiative provides vehicle owners with tips to help protect their property:
Always roll up the vehicle’s windows, lock the doors and pocket the key
If you have a garage, use it. Lock the door and the vehicle
Always park in a well-lit area
Never leave valuable objects or packages in plain view
