(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 7, 2016 at approximately 5:15 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the No Frills grocery store on Hwy. 6 & 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs in response to a threats complaint.
A male, who had parked his vehicle in a “fire zone”, and was asked to move it by a store manager, became irate and entered into a verbal altercation with the employee. The man did move his vehicle but when he returned to the store a short time later, he uttered death threats at employees.
Police arrested the male at his residence and seized several firearms.
54-year old Paul KOOL of Owen Sound was charged with utter threats causing bodily harm or death under the Criminal Code.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on March 10, 2016.
