63 Year Old Driver Leaves Roadway And Destroys Outdoor Furnace – $70,000 In Damage

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated a single motor vehicle collision at a Concession 12, North Walsingham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Thursday, February 11, 2016 at approximately 1:07 p.m., police and Norfolk County Paramedics were called to a single motor vehicle collision.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a 63-year-old male from Bayham, Ontario was operating a motor vehicle and was travelling west bound on Concession 12 when the vehicle left the roadway and entered a property colliding with an outdoor wood burning Heatolator furnace.

The driver of the vehicle did not suffer any injuries and was attended to by paramedics as a precautionary measure.

The vehicle sustained substantial damage and the outdoor furnace was destroyed.

The damage is estimated at approximately $70,000 dollars.

As a result of the investigation, no charges have been laid.
