(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On February 12, 2016 at approximately 1:51 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting Radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Arkell Road near Watson Road in Puslinch Township. The officer observed a male operating a 2011 Volkswagon at a speed well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 146 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
A 17-year-old male from Puslinch Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court in March to answer to the charge.
