(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On February 14, 2016 at approximately 9:40 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting Laser speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Concession 4 in Puslinch Township. The officer observed a male operating a Ford Focus southbound at a speed well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 148 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
21-year-old Monir MOHEBI of Waterloo has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 16, 2016 to answer to the charge.
