(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On February 16th, 2016, the Quinte West OPP responded to six motor vehicle collisions in the City of Quinte West. Of the six motor vehicle collisions two occurred in parking lots and involved parked vehicles, two collisions involved two motor vehicles and two were single motor vehicles into ditches.
The Quinte West OPP would like to remind the public the adjuster the driving according to the rapidly changing weather conditions.
IMPAIRED BACKHOE OPERATOR
(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On February 16th, 2016, at 9:10pm officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the OPP responded to County Road 2 for the report of backhoe that had rolled into a ditch.
After an investigation by the officer it appeared as though the backhoe operators ability to drive a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
Joshua HICKEY, 29, of Quinte West has been charged with the following:
Driving While Ability Impaired – 253(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada
Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood – 253(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice 15 Bridge Street West Belleville, on March 3rd, 2016.
