Joshua Pedro SANTOS – Counterfeit Money, Fraud

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated an incident after being called to a Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, January 25, 2016 at approximately 4:11 p.m., employees from Sobeys contacted police after a male attempted to pass a counterfeit $50 dollars American bank note.

The OPP are seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information or can identify the male they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

On Wednesday, February 17, 2016, police located and charged 24-year-old Joshua Pedro SANTOS of no fixed address with fraudulently obtaining food or lodging and nine (9) counts of uttering counterfeit currency.

He will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges
