(Bancroft, Ontario) – During the evening hours on the 18th of February 2016, police responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision, outside of a residence on Old Hastings Road, near Highway #62 in Bancroft. Officers with the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) attended the scene and identified the driver of a motor vehicle that had struck a tree at that location. There were no injuries as a result of the collision. Police determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol, and she was arrested and transported to the Bancroft O.P.P. detachment. There, the driver provided samples of her breath to a qualified intoxilyzer technician for the purposes of determining the level of alcohol in her system.
Charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood is 53 year old Jean PRICE of Bancroft. She was released on a Promise to Appear notice with a first appearance date of the 22nd of March 2016 in Bancroft court.
