22 Year Old Drunk Driver From Forest Arrested

(LAMBTON, ON) – On Monday February 22nd, 2016, at approximately 10:22 p.m., the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to Victoria Street, Town of Forest regarding a light colored pick-up truck doing “burnouts” and traveling at high rates of speed along the street.

Members of the Lambton OPP responded to the area and did observe several tire marks on the roadway however were unable to locate the vehicle. A short time later, an OPP officer observed a light colored pick-up truck pull out of a residence on King Street, Town of Forest. The pick-up accelerated out of the driveway at a high rate of speed causing it to fishtail and almost lose control on the roadway. The OPP initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver.

While speaking with the driver of the pick-up, the officer determined that the driver of the motor vehicle was impaired due to the consumption of alcoholic beverage and placed the driver under arrest. The driver was then transported to the Lambton OPP – Grand Bend Detachment for breath testing which resulted in readings more than three times the legal limit.

As a result, 22 year-old, Lakota Grant Little Sky MANDOKA of Forest, ON was charged with:

Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood

Driving While Ability Impaired

The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday March 14th, 2016.

The OPP is reminding drivers that any amount of alcohol or other drugs can impair one’s ability to drive. Impaired driving remains the leading cause of criminal death in Canada.
