(CALEDON, ON)- Shortly after 12:00am on February 27, 2016 members of the Caledon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and EMS were notified that a pedestrian may have been struck on Dixie Road north of Mayfield Road in Caledon, ON.
Officers patrolled the area locating a male lying in the snow on the shoulder of the road. Caledon OPP has identified the deceased as Baljit Singh KHANDAL (35yrs) of Brampton, ON.
Dixie Road between Mayfield Rd and Old School Rd in Caledon was closed for several hours while Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) assisted with the investigation.
Investigation is continuing.
