(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from the City of Kawartha Lakes (CKL) detachment responded to complaints of possible impaired drivers over the weekend. As a result of these complaints the following persons have been charged.
On Friday February 26 at approximately 4:30 pm a vehicle was stopped on Eldon Road, north of Oakwood, as a result of a driving complaint. After an investigation the driver, 32 year old Vanessa MISSERI of Pickering, was arrested and charged with:
Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample contrary to section 254(3) of the CCC
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on March 24, 2016.
On Sunday February 28 at approximately 4:30 pm the OPP received a traffic complaint in the Fenelon Falls area. The vehicle was located, just south of Fenelon Falls, and after an investigation the male driver, 26 year old Jesse MCGREGOR of Bobcaygeon, was arrested and charged with Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CCC.
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on March 24, 2016.
