Harley Davidson Trailer And Motorcycle Stolen #L6207H #9552V

[ELGIN COUNTY] On February 27th, 2016, at approximately 8:24a.m. police received a report of a theft of trailer and motorcycle from outside a residence on Horton Street in Sheddon, ON.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 3:30a.m. and 8:24a.m. a 2013 13′ enclosed aluminum, black and orange, double axel, trailer bearing Ontario marker #L6207H with a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, red, bearing Ontario marker #9552V inside was taken from the property.

The trailer was parked on the property in the side yard approximately 10′ from the roadway. The trailer was not attached to a vehicle and was sitting on the tongue jack. The trailer was plugged into the residence via an extension cord to maintain the motorcycle batteries in the trailer. The trailer had been parked in the same location since the fall of 2015.

It appears by the tire tracks left at the scene that a vehicle backed directly up to the trailer and hitch and attached the trailer and drove away.

The value of the trailer and motorcycle is estimated at $23 000

Police are investigating several other criminal acts which occurred in the vicinity of this theft which are believed to be linked. A 2008 21ft flatbed trailer valued at $4500 was stolen from a Francis Street address during that same time period. There was also an attempted theft of a 2003 GMC Sierra pick-up truck.
