RICHES – Break And Enters, Breaches, etc

(NORWICH, ON) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has been investigating several break, enter and thefts that occurred in Norwich between October 2015 and March 2016 in various locations.

Sometime overnight on February 20, 2016 unknown suspect(s) entered the detached garage of a residence on John Street in Norwich and removed approximately $11,400 worth of hunting equipment, accessories, clothing and alcohol. On February 27, 2016 unknown suspect(s) entered the detached garage of a residence on Washington Street and removed a dart board and fishing equipment worth approximately $2,000.

As a result of investigation members of the Oxford County OPP and Oxford County Street Team recovered property and arrested and charged 19-year-old Dorien RICHES of Norwich under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:

Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence (3 counts)

Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada (2 counts)

Fail to Comply with Probation Order (3 counts)

Fail to Comply with Recognizance (2 counts)

The male is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Oxford County OPP is continuing with the investigation.
