(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Last evening, March 7 at approximately 8:00pm, police from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) City of Kawartha Lakes detachment responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver.
The vehicle was located on Chalore Park Drive and an investigation commenced. The driver, 51 year old Roger ROADHOUSE, and sole occupant of the vehicle was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Drive While Ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Fail or Refuse to Provide Sample contrary to section 254(3) CCC
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on March 24, 2016.
