(CALEDON/DUFFERIN COUNTY, ON) – On March 16, 2016 at 2:38 pm officers from the OPP Central Region Community Drug Action Team and OPP Drug Enforcement Section with assistance of Peel Regional Police tactical unit executed an outstanding arrest warrant at the Bramalea City Centre in Brampton.
Background: On December 19, 2012 at 2:38 pm Caledon Dufferin CDAT team had executed a search warrant on a rural property in Town of Mono. As a result several firearms and large quantity of marihuana were seized. OPP were unable to locate one Male subject involved and a warrant for his arrest was issued at that time.
Subsequently, Billy-Jo COUSINS, 27 years old of no fixed address is charged with the following offences: Adult possession firearm when prohibited by order, illegal possession of firearm (3 counts) and Possession of firearm with serial number altered. All offences are contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He will make his first appearance at Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville for bail hearing on March 17, 2016.
