Head On Collision Sends Three To Hospital

(SOUTH FRONTENAC TWP, ON) – On Friday, March 18, 2016 at approximately 1:43 am officers of the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with South Frontenac Township Fire and Rescue and Frontenac Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Perth Road just south of Inverary, South Frontenac Township.

A silver Chevrolet Optra, operated by a 28-year-old male from Arnprior, ON was traveling southbound on Perth Road and collided with a brown Honda Civic traveling northbound.

The driver of the Honda, an 18-year-old male from Harrowsmith ON, and his passenger, an 18-year-old female from Inverary, ON and the driver of the Chevrolet were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The female passenger was able to exit the vehicle at the scene while both drivers had to be extricated by Fire Services.

Perth Road remains closed. South Frontenac Township Public Works Department is assisting with the road closure and a detour is in place.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators have responded to the scene and are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
