(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 41-year-old male after police stopped a vehicle at a McDowell Road West, North Walsingham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, March 20, 2016, at approximately 8:28 a.m., police were conducting patrols in the area of McDowell Road West, when a vehicle attracted the officer’s attention. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated.
As a result of investigation, police seized approximately 843 pounds of Marihuana valued at approximately $405,000 dollars.
Charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking Marihuana is 41-year-old Xing DONG of Markham, Ontario.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
