LANGILLE – Drugs, Weapons

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 24, 2016 at approximately 1:16 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit (SCU) along with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located on Queen Street East in Fergus, Centre Wellington Township.

Officers seized a substantial quantity of marihuana in various forms and packaging, as well as assorted drug paraphernalia, Canadian currency, two large hunting knives and a hatchet.

20-year-old Alexander LANGILLE of Fergus has been charged with Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Possession of a Weapon For a Dangerous Purpose and Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on May 17, 2016 to answer to the charges.
