On 01 April 2016 at approximately 4:05am emergency services were requested to attend the 900 block of 9th Avenue East regarding a pedestrian that had been hit by a car.
Police, Fire and EMS arrived on scene and located an injured 36 year old male lying on the road. The driver of the motor vehicle along with his passenger indicated that the male ran from the west side of the road into the path of the vehicle which was travelling north bound. The driver had no time to react, the pedestrian made contact with the front of the vehicle before crashing into the windshield and then flying over the vehicle and landing on the roadway. The male was transported to hospital by ambulance with unknown injuries.
The accident is still under investigation and the police are requesting any persons who may have witnessed the collision to contact PC Martin at 519-376-1234 Ext 173.
