ERT and K9 Searching For Missing Hikers

(KINGSVILLE, ON) — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kingsville is looking for the public’s assistance in finding two males who are currently missing.

William YORK, and his nephew Mitchell VOURAKES, went hiking along the Chrysler Greenway yesterday afternoon, near McCain Side road in Kingsville. The vehicle they were driving was located at that location.

Both males are dressed appropriately and are avid outdoorsmen but it is out of character for them to be gone this long without notifying family.

YORK is described as being 36 years old, short brown hair, hazel cross eyes, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall weighing 154 pounds. (See attached photo)

VOURAKES is 14 years old, with short brown hair, blue eyes, approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall weighing approximately 160 pounds. (See attached photo)

Both males were dressed in camouflage gear and at least one was possibly carrying a back pack.

Currently, the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) along with the K-9 unit are on scene searching, along with patrol officers.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these males, you are asked to contact the OPP Communication Center at 1-888-310-1122.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
