Arrests Made In Violent Paris Home Invasion

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call regarding a robbery with violence at approximately 8:20 p.m. on April 2, 2016 in the town of Paris.

County of Brant OPP members attended along with members of the West Region Emergency Response team, Criminal investigations Unit and K-9 to the Dumfries Street residence.

Police found that 2 person(s) forced their way into the Dumfries Street residence and an altercation took place with the occupants. During the altercation a cell phone was taken from the residents and the suspects fled on foot.

Police located the suspects a short distance from the residence and they were arrested without incident.

County of Brant OPP have charged 24-year-old Carly Lynn MATHESON of Haldimand County with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:

Robbery with a weapon times x 4

Possession of a weapon

Break and Enter

Assault with a weapon x 4

Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

County of Brant OPP have also charged 26-year-old Kyle Andrew WILLIAMS-LEMOS both of Haldimand County with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:

Robbery with a weapon times x 4

Possession of a weapon

Break and Enter

Assault with a weapon x 4

Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

Assault

Both charged persons will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to their charges
