(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On April 9th, 2016, at approximately 1:50am officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information regarding a motor vehicle collision on Hamilton Road near Meyers Creek Road.
During the investigation the officer determined that one of the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.
James Frederick RYAN, 50, of Quinte West has been charged with:
Driving While Ability Impaired – 253(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada
Care or Control Over 80 mgs. – 253(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada
There was damage to both vehicles and none of the parties involved in the collision sustained injuries.
The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on April 28th, 2016.
