(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On April 24, 2016, at approximately 12:17 a.m., while on patrol a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a pick-up truck being driven over the lawn of a business located on Durham Street and Alice Street, Flesherton, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The officer activated the cruiser’s emergency lights and after the truck, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado came to a stop, the lone driver exited and fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, the driver was apprehended and arrested for impaired driving after he was found to have been drinking alcohol. He was transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests which he failed.
20-year old Brent Edan McMULLEN of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 milligrams.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on May 19, 2016.
