(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County Detachment is currently investigating three incidents that have occurred at Haldimand County, Ontario addresses.
On Monday, May 2, 2016 at approximately 1:15 a.m., unknowns attended the Oneida New Holland farm equipment supplier located at a Fourth Line, Caledonia, Ontario address and removed a white coloured pickup truck from the property.
At approximately 1:25 a.m., the same vehicle was then driven to the West Haldimand General Hospital located at 75 Park View in Hagersville, Ontario. The driver then backed the truck up through the front entrance of the hospital causing extensive damage. The vehicle then fled the scene.
At approximately 1:45 a.m., a lone male entered Mac’s Convenience Store located at a Talbot Street West, Jarvis, Ontario address and displayed a weapon. He then walked behind the counter and removed a money tray from the cash register and then fled from the store in the stolen truck and was last seen heading northbound on Highway 6.
The employee was not physically injured during this incident.
The suspect involved in these incidents is described as male, approximately 5’7 to 5’8, black hooded sweater with a grey zip up sweatshirt, with black skater shoes that had white soles.
The pickup truck is described as a white, 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, with a blue and gold coloured box that had a large white leaf near the front of the box. The vehicle also had New Holland Agriculture decals on both sides in blue writing.
The Haldimand County OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident or can identify the person responsible, please contact the Haldimand County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
