(North Glengarry) – On May 14, 2016 at approximately 6:27pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a two (2) motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Elgin Street and Bishop Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation revealed the adult male driver of one of the vehicles was under the influence of alcohol.
Nicholas OBERMOSER (23) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on June 8, 2016.
(South Dundas) – On May 14, 2016 at approximately 8:25pm, SD&G OPP officers intercepted a stationary vehicle on Willow Road, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Christopher WHITE (35) of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Care of Control of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by Alcohol
– Care of Control of a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on July 5, 2016.
(South Dundas) – On May 14, 2016 at approximately 10:59pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a traffic complaint on Highway 401, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that a vehicle had travelled westbound in the eastbound lanes almost colliding with an oncoming vehicle and entered the median coming to a stop. The vehicle was intercepted and the adult male driver was found to under the influence of alcohol.
John UWAYESANTIJE (49) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on June 7, 2016.
(North Glengarry) – On May 15, 2016 at approximately 1:22am, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 20, North Glengarry Township. The stop indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Keith SLOAN (22) of North Stormont Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Driving a Motor Vehicle While Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on June 2, 2016.
OPP HSD/CVEU/MTO TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT
(South Glengarry/Stormont) – Between May 6-13, 2016 – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD), OPP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit (CVEU) and Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) members conducted targeted enforcement on the Highway 401 corridor in South Glengarry and South Stormont Townships. The following are results of the initiative including the type of offences, total number of drivers charged () and those involving Commercial Motor Vehicles (indicated by CMV);
– Driving While Distracted – (69) 29 of which were CMV’s
– Seatbelt infractions (48) 44CMV’s
– Other Highway Traffic Act Violations (26) 10CMV’s

– Stunt Driving – speeds 50km/h + over the limit (2)
– Following Too Closely (1CMV)
– Liquor Licence Act infractions (2)

BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(North Glengarry) – On May 13, 2016 at approximately 4:53pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a disturbance on Dominion Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an intoxicated male was in contravention of conditions imposed from previous incidents.
Justin LEBRUN (27) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Causing a Disturbance
– Indecent Act (urinating in public)
– Breach of Probation (2 counts)
– Breach of Recognizance
On May 14, 2016 at approximately 3:01pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an unwanted male inside a residence on Dominion Street. The male was identified as LEBRUN and he was again arrested and is further charged with;
– Break and Enter
– Breach of Probation
– Breach of Recognizance
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
(South Glengarry) – On May 15, 2016 at approximately 10:20am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of Trespassing at a property on Pineridge Road, South Glengarry Township. Upon speaking to an adult male involved, information indicated that he was in contravention of a condition imposed from a previous incident.
Leonard RADLEY (53) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (Remain in residence daily)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
ASSAULT
(South Glengarry) – On May 13, 2016 – SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of an assault at a commercial property on County Road 18, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that on May 11, 2016 an adult male had assaulted a co-male employee.
The 45-year-old from South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on August 10, 2016. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
