(Bancroft, Ontario) – Shortly before noon on the 14th day of May 2016, police officers with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Old Hastings Road in the Township of Wollaston.
Police and ambulance attended the scene, where a motorcycle had collided with a pick-up truck. Police assisted with providing first aid and C.P.R. to the single male rider of the motorcycle, who was non-responsive.
49 year old Robert James Harris of Sackville New Brunswick was declared deceased at the scene.
A Technical Traffic Collision Investigator with the O.P.P. was called in to conduct further examination of the scene in conjunction with a coroner’s investigation. Following the completion of that investigation, no charges were laid in relation to the incident.
