(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Last evening, May 18 at approximately 5:45pm, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) checked a vehicle north of Fenelon Falls on Kawartha Lakes Road 121.
An investigation was commenced and the driver, 53 year old Kevin WAYLETT of Fenelon Falls was subsequently arrested and charged with the following offences:
Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CCC
Driving Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available contrary to section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on June 2, 2016.
