(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On May 19, 2016 at approximately 2:40 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a man that was driving 2009 Volkswagen for speeding on Wellington Road 30 near Wellington Road 86, Guelph-Eramosa Township. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
24-year-old Matthew TUCKWOOD of Waterloo has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on July 6, 2016 to answer to the charge.
