(Madoc, ON) – On May 27, 2016 at 11:50 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to two traffic complaints on Highway # 7 in the Municipality of Tweed involving a vehicle that was driving erratically, entering oncoming lanes of traffic and swerving from shoulder to shoulder.
Officers located the vehicle on St. Lawrence Street East as it was entering the Village of Madoc. As a result of the investigation the driver, 47 year old Martyn BROWN of Scarborough, ON was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving With More Than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood.
He received a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. He will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on July 7, 2016.
