(Tweed, ON) – On June 2, 2016 at 11:05 a.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a two vehicle collision on Arthur Street in the Municipality of Tweed. A vehicle turning left from Louisa Street on to Arthur Street struck a car stopped at a stop sign on Arthur Street.
A 77 year old woman of Tweed, ON was charged with Improper Turn under the Highway Traffic Act.
No injuries were reported.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
(Marmora, ON) – On June 1, 2016 at 3:05 p.m. Central Hastings O.P.P received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle on Madoc Street in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.
At 2:30 p.m. a teenager was walking on Madoc Street near North Maloney Street when a silver and red Chevrolet pickup truck pulled up. The lone male older driver motioned for the teenager to come towards the truck however no verbal communication was exchanged. The teenager refused and continued walking. The vehicle proceeded westbound on Madoc Street and the interaction lasted no more than a few seconds. The male driver is described as having grey hair and wearing a blue ball cap.
Patrols of the area were made however the vehicle and driver were not located.
