(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) – On Sunday April 24, 2016, around 3:30 p.m., an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducting speed enforcement on Perth Line 20 south of Sebringville stopped a fast moving west bound black Chevy Equinox.
The vehicle had been observed travelling at a high rate of speed when the officer activated the police radar. A reading of 135 km/h was locked in on the radar. This is 55 km/h above the posted 80 km/h zone.
21-year-old Nicole RIDLEY of Stratford was issued a summons for “race a motor vehicle”. She is to attend Stratford Court on May 24, 2016, to answer to this charge.
The Perth County OPP will continue to enforce the speed limits in an effort to keep our roadways safe.
