(TRENTON, ON) – On Tuesday June 7th, 2016, shortly after midnight, Quinte West OPP responded to a call on Hamilton Road, Trenton for a family dispute. Prior to Police arrival the male suspect fled on foot and had a knife in his possession.
Police investigation revealed that the male had verbally threatened to harm the occupants of the home prior to fleeing the residence.
This male was located a short time later on Sidney Street in Trenton. He was initially uncooperative with police, but was arrested and taken into custody.
A 23 year old man from Trenton, ON is charged with:
Uttering threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm; and
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
The accused was held in custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing at Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim(s).
