Douglas BROOKS – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On June 10, 2016, at approximately 6:10 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD), assisted by the Middlesex County OPP, conducted a traffic stop of a motor vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 401, near Westchester Bourne.

Officers determined that the driver of the grey Saturn car had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing.

As a result of the police investigation, 68-year-old Douglas BROOKS, from London, Ontario, has been charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, and driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on July 11, 2016.
