(MUNICIPALITY OF EAST FERRIS, ON) –On June 18, 2016, at approximately 8:30 p.m., North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision on Nosbonsing Park Road, Municipality of East Ferris.
Initial investigation revealed that there were two occupants on the ATV when it collided with a tree. A 36 year old male from North Bay, Ontario, was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger, 34 year old male from Beamsville, Ontario, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by North Bay District Ambulance.
Both occupants of the ATV were not wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
The OPP are continuing the investigation with the assistance of Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI).
