(NORTHEASTERN MANITOULIN AND THE ISLANDS TOWNSHIP, ON) – At approximately 8:00 a.m., on June 22, 2016, a member of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 6, at Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) Township, Ontario.
As a result of the investigation, Rodney O’NEIL, age 43 of Sudbury, Ontario has been charged with possession of cannabis marihuana, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and with speeding, contrary to section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay, Ontario on August 25, 2016.
