(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kenora Detachment, the OPP Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau-Kenora Drug Unit (OCEB), with the assistance of the Kenora Detachment Street Crime Unit, the OPP Regional Support Team and Treaty Three Police have charged three Kenora men for drug related charges following an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Kenora
On Tuesday June 21, 2016 shortly after 3:00 pm police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Keewatin area. The investigation resulted in the arrest and search of the male driver and passenger. Both males were found to be in possession of small amounts of methamphetamine.
Another male was arrested at the scene and a search warrant was executed on a residence in Keewatin. The arrest of the males and execution of the warrant resulted in the location of 96 milligrams of Hydromorphone and 6 grams of Methamphetamine as well as items used in the drug trafficking trade. The drugs have a combined street value of the drugs is approximately $2900.
As a result of this investigation three men have been charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and the Criminal Code (CC):
34 year old Christopher “CJ” BOUCHER of Kenora has been charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-other drugs (2 counts) s. 5(2) CDSA
Trafficking in Schedule I Substance-Methamphetamines (Crystal Meth) s. 5(1) CDSA
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in Kenora Court.
27 year old Paul WARMBIER of Kenora has been charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I substance-Methamphetamine s. 4(1) CDSA
Fail to Comply with Probation Order s. 733.1(1) CC
He was released to appear in Kenora Court on July 28, 2016 to answer to the charge.
45 year old Jack BROWN of Kenora has been charged with:
Possession of a Schedule I substance-Methamphetamine s. 4(1) CDSA
He was released to appear in Kenora Court on July 28, 2016 to answer to the charge.
