Ajaypal Singh PAMA – Drunk Driving

(CALEDON, ON) – On Friday, June 17, 2016 an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a white Chevrolet Cruz driving erratically in the Caledon area. The vehicle was observed to be driving in oncoming lanes.

Upon investigation, the officer determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by the consumption of alcohol and arrested the operator of the Chevrolet accordingly.

As a result, Ajaypal Singh PAMA, 20, of Brampton was charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:

Adult Driving While Ability Impaired – motor vehicle (Alcohol)

Adult Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood

Adult Driving Motor Vehicle with open container of liquor

Adult Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

The 90-day Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on July 21, 2016.
