(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 22-year-old male after police stopped a vehicle at a Highway 3, Woodhouse, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Thursday, July 14, 2016 at approximately 8:24 p.m., an officer was westbound on Highway 3, operating an Automatic Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) vehicle, which detects licence plates in poor standing.
As the officer was travelling westbound, the ALPR vehicle alerted the officer to a licence plate on a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 3. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and investigated.
As a result, police have charged 22-year-old Dylan SCHAEFFER of Haldimand County, Ontario with driving while under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
