(City of Kawartha Lakes, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a female after an encounter at the Pigeon Lake sandbar Saturday evening shortly before 6:00pm.
Marine officers were conducting marine patrol near the sandbar on Pigeon Lake and were investigating a group of people from one vessel. A female from the group refused to cooperate with officers and attempted to conceal the evidence of alcohol consumption. Holly LOVELL (age 26) of the Municipality of Trent Lakes was arrested and charged with:
Obstruct peace officer
Resisting arrest
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay, ON August 18, 2016.
