Christopher Donald VELASQUEZ – Drunk Driving, Drive While Disqualified, Breach

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 28-year-old male after police were called to a Main Street, Hagersville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Friday, July 15, 2016, at approximately 12:20 p.m., an alert citizen contacted police about a vehicle that was travelling through the town of Hagersville. A second call was received about the same vehicle after it stopped on the side of the roadway where the driver and passenger engaged in a physical confrontation. Both re-entered the vehicle and left the area.

Officers that were patrolling the area subsequently located the vehicle on Main Street and conducted an investigation.

As a result of investigation, police have charged 28-year-old Christopher Donald VELASQUEZ of Niagara, Ontario with impaired driving, driving over the legal limit, fail to comply with probation order and driving while disqualified.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
