(MILTON, ON) – Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Port Credit Detachment are investigating an assault which took place on a GO Transit bus on Highway 401 in the Town of Milton.
On Monday, July 18, 2016 at approximately 3:05 p.m. a westbound GO Transit bus on Highway 401 west of Martin Road in the Town of Milton, experienced a mechanical issue and was forced to pull over. For unknown reasons, a passenger on the bus became agitated and assaulted the bus driver. The passenger then fled the scene, using an emergency window to exit the bus.
Police attended and the passenger was located a short distance away and taken into custody.

Assault, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada
LEROUX is scheduled to appear in Milton Provincial Court on August 29, 2016.
