Theft Of Rye From Farmer’s Field

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police, Norfolk County Detachment received investigated an incident after being called to a Windham Road 9, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Thursday, July 21, 2016 at approximately 8:07 p.m., police received a call from a concerned resident after they observed a suspicious vehicle located in a farmers field.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that unknowns had attended a farmer’s field and used a combine to harvest the rye crop.

The theft of the rye crop is valued at approximately $8000 dollars.

Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance with this investigation. If anyone has any information, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
